Federation Council Chairman on his trip about Far East

Federation Council (the parliament's upper chamber) Chairman Sergei Mironov gave priority to making conditions for the formation of an infrustructure that would provide a high development level in the Far East, the speaker told journalists during his trip about the region on Wednesday.

He also emphasised the necessity of "ensuring the region's energetic security, making better conditions for locals, conducting an effective migration policy, providing high efficiency of the economy, first of all by mobilizing the potential of defence complex enterprises, developing international cooperation." Sergei Mironov visited Komsomolsk-on-Amur's two major factories, took part in unveiling a youth housing co-operative in Khabarovsk.
