People with so-called "healthy obesity" are more likely to suffer from cardiovascular diseases compared to those with normal complexion, Canadian researchers said, having thus debunked the popular myth, according to which it was believed that not too much overweight people are healthiest individuals.
The scientists have found that extra pounds gradually minimize natural, normal body health. This was the conclusion of the study, which was conducted among 60,000 volunteers.
It turned out that even insignificant excessive weight increases the likelihood of cardio- vascular diseases and premature death. Those having extra pounds of weight are at risk, even if they have normal blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
