Russian-Ukrainian movie wins at Yalta film festival

Yury Sergeev's co-production "This poor, poor Paul" has won the top award of the international producer's film festival held in the Black Sea resort of Yalta, in Crimea, August 1 through 7.

The award-winning movie explores the life story of Russian Emperor Paul I, portrayed by actor Viktor Sukhorukov.

Special prizes went to Ukraine's Nikolai Mashchenko (for the picture "Bogdan-Zinovy Khmelnitsky") and Russia's Svetlana Druzhinina (for "The Emperor's Second Bride").

In all, the Yalta festival featured twenty motion pictures, including eleven as part of the competition program.
