Comet Lovejoy is here

For the first time in 8,000 years and the last time before 10,015 in eight thousand years' time, we have the chance to see Comet Lovejoy, discovered on August 17 in 2014 by Australian amateur astronomer Terry Lovejoy.

Comet Lovejoy can be seen with the naked eye and with a telescope or binoculars it appears as a green ball. This year Comet Lovejoy is making its closest approach to Earth.
