New Russian airliner to be presented at Moscow air and space show

The new Russian airliner Tu-204-300 will for the first time be presented at the International Air and Space Show MAKS-2003 which will open on August 19 in the town of Zhukovsky in the Moscow region. According to experts, the main advantage of the new trunk-route plane is its flying range. It can make non-stop flights for up to 10,000 kilometres, that is, from Moscow to the Russian Far East and, in the western direction, it can cover the whole of Europe.

The Tu-204-300 is the sixth modification of the plane of the Tupolev family. An elite class plane and a plane for the Air Force will be designed on its basis.

After the air show certification tests of the plane will begin.
