A unique demonstration of up-to-date international achievements in specialised police and military equipment for detaining terrorists and releasing hostages will take place on November 15 at the proving-ground of the Geodesia Research Institute in the town of Krasnoarmeisk, Moscow region. Deputy chief of the Krasnoarmeisk administration Valery Katkov told RIA Novosti about it on Thursday.
For the fist time of these shows in the past three years the police equipment will be demonstrated not in the Interior Ministry's proving-ground which occupies a territory of two square kilometres but in Krasnoarmeisk one. which is 190 square kilometres, specified Koptev.
Policemen from different countries will be given four hours to show their abilities with the use of helicopters, landing operations, bombing and hand-to-hand fighting. As in the previous years, France, Poland and the United States will take part in the show.
The demonstration of police and military equipment will take place as part of the seventh annual exhibition of state security means - Interpolitech-2003. This year it displays equipment for guarding, rescuing, extinguishing fire and for anti-chemical protection, as well as specialised transport and equipment from 400 enterprises which represent 30 countries. The visitors to the exhibition will also have the chance to see weapons in the Arms-2003 section.
In June, the Baltic States will hold BALTOPS and Saber Strike 2018 drills. A US Armored Brigade will be deployed in Europe for the purpose - no less than 4,000 soldiers
