MacBook Air offers Battery Replacement Program

January 15, 2008 was marked by the demonstration of the MacBook Air, a lightweight Macintosh notebook computer constructed by Apple Inc. The company claims it to be the "world's thinnest notebook" at 0.76 inches (1.93 cm) thick at its thickest point and 0.16 inches (0.41 cm) at its thinnest.

Unlike Apple's other notebooks, the MacBook Air has no user-replaceable parts. Its hard drive, memory and battery are sealed within the casing. Apple will replace the battery for a fee.

For the named purpose the company offers the MacBook Air Battery Replacement Program.

It means that if your MacBook Air requires service only because the battery’s ability to hold an electrical charge has diminished, Apple will repair your MacBook Air for a service fee.

The cost of this service depends on a country. United States provides it for $129, Canada - CA$159, Europe – 139 (EUR) inc VAT, United Kingdom - £99 inc VAT, Japan - ¥15,800 and Asia Pacific - AU$199 inc. taxes.

The repair process normally takes 5 business days.

Apple will also provide a warranty against defects on the replacement battery for one year from the date of service.

If not in need of the named service, one can replace it themselves. The process is reported trivial in order not to excite concern among clients.

More than 5.8 million people voted for Nicholas Maduro at the presidential election in Venezuela. This is more than a quarter of registered voters. Why did those people vote for the man, who, as Western media write, took Venezuela to the brink of collapse?
