Historical conference opens in Veliky Novgorod

A two-day scientific conference, "The Past of Novgorod and the Novgorod Land," opens on Tuesday in the city of Veliky Novgorod (northern Russia).

Scientists from Moscow, Petersburg, Veliky Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Pskov and other cities in Russia will attend the conference, the Yaroslav Mudry (Grand Duke of Russia in the 11th century) Novgorod State University reported.

Workers from the Novgorod Region State Archives and the Novgorod State United Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Preserve and scientists from the Novgorod State University will represent Veliky Novgorod at the conference.

This is the thirteenth time the conference will meet in Veliky Novgorod.
