Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexis II congratulated Russians on the forthcoming Easter via RIA Novosti.
"Celebrating Easter, Orthodox Christians show their belief that the Saviour redeemed Adam's sin, conquered death and granted people eternal life. My dears, I cordially congratulate you on this great and blessed holiday," Alexis II told RIA Novosti.
"We regard Easter as the greatest lesson of love for all mankind independently of religious, national and other differences between us," the Patriarch said.
