Law-enforcers Link Murder Of High-ranking Moscow Official To His Professional Activity

There is a version that the Friday murder in Moscow of deputy prefect of the Western Administrative District of Moscow Sergei Balashov can be connected with his professional activity. The main interior department of the Moscow police has reported that everything points to the fact that it was a contract murder and that it is likely to be connected with the professional activity of the murdered. According to the available information, at around 8.45 a.m., Moscow time, Sergei Balashov in his car drove up to the building of prefecture in Ivan Franko street. At this moment two strangers ran up to his car and shot him down from automatic weapons after which the criminals managed to escape. Sergei Balashov died from the wounds on the spot.
