Google and Facebook named most popular websites in 2011

Google and Facebook become most popular websites in 2011. 46294.jpegSearch engine Google and social network Facebook became the most visited websites in the United States in 2011, Nielsen analysts said.

By year-end, it turned out that Google audience amounted to 153 million people every month. Facebook follows the Internet giant, although the audience of the social network is smaller - 137.6 million visitors a month.

The third place belongs to Yahoo! The website received 130.1 million unique visitors. The fourth and the fifth most popular websites are MSN / WindowsLive / Bing (115,9 million) and YouTube (106,6 million unique visitors), adds People's Daily.

The top ten most visited websites in the U.S. also includes MSN, YouTube, corporate websites of Microsoft and Apple, AOL websites, online encyclopedia Wikipedia and search engine Ask.com.
