Russians In Outer Space

At 16:20, Moscow time, on December 3 Monday, Russian cosmonauts Vladimir Dezhurov and Mikhail Tyurin went out into space for extravehicular activities. From inside the International Space Station they will be backed up by Frank Culbertson, commander of the ISS third stay-in expedition, reports the Russian Mission Control Center. The unscheduled EVA is due to the need to eliminate a snag discovered in the docking port last November 28 when a Russian space truck, Progress M1-7, arrived to the station. Supposedly, an alien body got into between the Progress M1-7 and the docking port, preventing a close connection between the two spacecraft: a 4-millimeter gasp remains in between. The cosmonauts will work in space until 22:11, Moscow time.
