Putin does not wear Putin T-shirts

Russian President Vladimir Putin does not wear T-shirts with his own image on them, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, lenta.ru reports.

"Can you imagine a president who would wear clothes with his own picture printed on them?" Peskov said in an interview with the Russian News Service.

At the same time, the press secretary said that Putin knew about the existence of such a line of clothes, as it is widely advertised in the media. Peskov also said that he does not have any Putin T-shirts either.

On Putin's birthday, October 7, Russian designers presented a collection of clothes, called "Rodina ("Homeland"). The items in the collection feature patriotic prints and images of the president.

In the summer of 2014, the designers launched the sales of Putin T-shirts at Moscow's GUM department store. On October 6, they released the autumn collection of sweatshirts with images of the Russian president.

Noteworthy, German fashion house Talbot Runhof tried to bring politics to the light-minded world of fashion within the scope of the anti-Russian propaganda. The  Munich-based brand presented a collection of T-shirts with portraits of Vladimir Putin. On each of them shows the Russian president against the background of a famous city. The slogan written underneath invites people to come to this city until Putin comes there first.
