Ringo Starr Threw Huge Birthday Party in NY Times Square

Ringo Starr celebrated his 70th birthday in New York yesterday with a little help from his friends at a huge party in Times Square.

The Beatles legend was joined by wife Barbara Bach, family and fans as he led the crowd in a special 'Peace and Love' salute.

With no sign of any grey hair, and a seemingly infinite supply of energy, Ringo looked decades younger than his actual age, Daily Mail reports.

Among the celebrity revelers onstage singing "With a Little Help From My Friends" were Yoko Ono, Little Stephen and Jeff Lynn. Even Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney, who turned 68 last month, jetted into JFK from the UK for this show to do an encore of "They Say It's Your Birthday."

Earlier in the performance, Ringo noticed a poster in the audience that read, "Ringo I Love You, Happy Birthday." Starr, known for his dry wit, noted, "Nice banner, but where's the present?"

Showing no sign of his advanced age during the two hour-plus performance, Starr sounded great and looked terrific, whether whacking the drums for his All Starr bandmates, singing signature tunes, such as the opener, "It Don't Come Easy," or the breezy Beatles classic "Yellow Submarine," New York Post informs.
