Russian traveller finishes round-the-world voyage and makes new plans

Russian traveller Fyodor Konyukhov has finished his single round-the-world voyage in a yacht. The yacht crossed the finish line close the English port of Falmouth (Cornwall) having covered about 28 thousand of nautical miles. The Russian traveler started from the port of Falmouth November 24, 2004 and spent 190 days on his single round-the-world voyage. Fyodor Konyukhov however broke one of the voyage conditions and entered a port. The yacht needed repairing and stayed in the port of Hobart (Tasmania) within February 26 – March 5, ITAR-TASS reports. Having arrived to the finish, the traveler fixed his new personal record as he covered 200 thousand of nautical miles over his four round-the-world voyages. Fyodor crossed the Atlantic Ocean 15 times and the Indian and Pacific Oceans – four times each.

When the voyage is over, Fyodor is making plans as concerning his next expedition. He is going to cross Antarctica in an ice-yacht. Konyukhov will begin preparations for the voyage in Greenland.
