Russian Academy Of Sciences Launches Web Site

The Bulgarian office of the Russian Academy of Sciences was introducing its web site in Bulgaria's capital. Researchers, experts, businessmen, students and the public-at-large will now have access to the country's largest database of the All-Russia Institute of Research and Technical Information under the Russian Academy of Sciences. A computer catalogue of over 2,500 Russian scientific and popular periodicals offers subscription through the Internet, whose Books from Russia shop offers orders and purchases of encyclopaedias, reference books and other literature--over 10,000 titles at present. With time, English- and Russian-language versions will join the Bulgarian to make Russian books and periodicals even easier of access throughout Europe, says Elena Pavlovskaya, information manager of the Russian Academy of Sciences office for Bulgaria and Eastern Europe.
