Drunken German mistakes police car for taxi

The furious antics of a drunken German who attacked a police car for not giving him a ride, mistaking it for a taxi, have left the authorities of Amberg unamused.

Having hailed the police car, thinking it was a taxi, the drunken passenger told the police driver his destination. When the policeman tried to explain that this was a police vehicle and not a taxi, he was attacked.

The 28-year-old man was arrested to sleep off his hangover behind bars.
