"chechenskaya Respublika" Internet Channel To Tell About Positive Changes In Chechnya

Russian president's aide Sergei Yastrzhembsky pointed to the need of reporting about the positive changes in Chechnya, when he made a speech in Moscow during the presentation of the "Chechenskaya Respublika" (the Chechen republic) information channel on Thursday. Yastrzhembsky stressed that the new channel will break through the blockade on reporting the normal news from Chechnya. He pointed out that the situation in the republic is mechanically understood by many mass media in the light of military clashes and special operations. Many positive changes, according to him, are being observed in Chechnya about which it is necessary to speak. He underlined that thanks to the creation of a new information channel the world internet community will be able to receive the maximum of information from Chechnya. Chairman of the Chechen government Stanislav Ilyasov who took part in the presentation of the site also pointed out that a lot of creative work is being done in the republic now. He expressed hope that the number of Internet users will grow in Chechnya. Information director of the strana.ru national information service Vadim Malkin said that a new information channel will give priority above all to facts rather than to opinions and assessments and that it will receive information directly in Chechnya. For this purpose the information bureau has been created in Grozny with the assistance of the Chechen government, and a regional correspondent network is being established.
