The plane, flying from Riga to Moscow on Monday night, had to go back after 30 minutes of flight when the first pilot suddenly fell ill.
Of the passengers said that the pilot lost consciousness twice due to poor health. The passengers were informed that the plane was flying back to Riga.
Air Baltic, which owns the aircraft, has not given any comments on the incident.
All passengers remain at the Riga airport, and are to leave for Moscow in the nearest future.
