Russia's Prosecutor-general: Trial Of Raduyev Demonstrates Russia's Ability To Fight Against Terrorism "not Only With Force Of Arms But Also By Force Of Law"

Russia's Prosecutor-General Vladimir Ustinov, who arrived in Makhachkala, the capital of the autonomous republic of Dagestan, on Wednesday, has said that a trial of Chechen terrorist Raduyev demonstrates Russia's ability to fight terrorism "not only with force of arms but also by force of law". Ustinov will appear at a trial of Salman Raduyev opening on Thursday as the state prosecutor. The prosecutor noted that "triumph of the law over terrorism will be the triumph of the trial" over Raduyev. Magomedali Magomedov, chairman of the State Council, in his turn emphasised the need for trying the Chechen terrorist in Dagestan, where Raduyev and his "associates" committed the gravest of crimes. Magomedov promised that the republic's leadership and law enforcement bodies would do everything in their power to have the trial held in a normal situation.
