Russia mourns victims of Ilyushin Il-20 shootdown

The list of the Russian servicemen, who were killed in the crash of the Ilyushin Il-20 over Syria on September 18, counts 14 names, although it was originally reported that the list of victims counts 15 people.


Russia blames Israel for Il-20 shootdown in Syria

The names of the victims are: Sergei Gavryutin, Konstantin Nazarov, Alexander Vechernin, Timofey Baranov, Pavel Tkachenko, Alexander Burlaka, Grigory Zinoviev, Denis Gordov, Roman Dolmatov, Viktor Kvasenkov, Alexei Sedunov, Vladimir Yakovlev, Alexei Arzumanov, Andrey Sergeyenkov.

Earlier, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Syrian air defense systems shot down the Russian military aircraft at the moment when Israeli warplanes were trying to cover themselves up with the Il-20.
