Pink rabbit to face trial for assaulting police officer. 45868.jpegA 29-year-old woman, a resident of the city of Chelyabinsk, will face the court for attacking a police officer. The woman was wearing the costume of a pink rabbit, a life-size puppet, when the incident occurred. The woman did not cause serious injuries to the officer, but her action resulted in a criminal case.

The incident took place in summer, on July 16 at night. A police squad came across a group of drunken young people. The people were acting provokingly against passers by. An officer approached the company and asked the people to stop. A giant pink rabbit attacked the officer very unexpectedly, the Komsomolskaya Pravda said.

"A police officer approached them and asked them to stop provocative behavior. He also asked for their IDs. A woman wearing the costume of a pink rabbit jumped up to the officer and hit him on the head with her handbag several times. She also scratched his arm," officials said.

A criminal case was filed against the woman in accordance with Article 318 of the Penal Code of the Russian Federation - "Use of force against public officers."
