Well-known terrorist Salman Raduev denies accusations hurled against him at the on-going trial at the Supreme Court of Daghestan. On the second day of trial, on Friday, after the official prosecution was read out, examination of the accused began. Raduev, who came up with two hours of excuses, said he does not plead guilty of forming illegal armed formations and bands, snatching bodies and weapons in Chechnya. He also negated involvement in throwing threats of explosions at a nuclear power station in Voronezh and other cities of Russia, as well as in the bomb explosion at the Pyatigorsk railway station. Raduev repeatedly said that all fault rests with Jokhar Dudaev, who issued orders which he, Raduev, could not disobey. Regarding the bloody raid on Kizlyar and the events in Pervomayskoe, Raduev said they, too, were ordered by Dudaev. To Raduev, this action was not a combat operation but was only designed to draw "the attention of the world public to the situation in Chechnya and, in this way, to prompt withdrawal of Russian troops from Chechnya".
