Poroshenko congratulates Pope on 80th anniversary on Pontiff's 79th birthday

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko congratulated the Pope on his birthday on behalf of the Ukrainian people and the whole country.

Pope Francis I was born as Jorge Mario Bergoglio on December 17, 1936. The President of Ukraine published the message of congratulation on his official website. In the message, Poroshenko congratulated Pope Francis on his 80th anniversary, although the Pontiff turned 79 on December 17, 2015.

"Your Holiness, on behalf of the Ukrainian people and myself, we heartily congratulate you on your 80th birthday," the message from the Ukrainian president said.

Nothing is known how the head of the Roman Catholic Church reacted to the error of the President of Ukraine.
