George Clooney is battling the potentially fatal tropical disease malaria, it was revealed last night.
The 49-year-old star contracted the illness in Sudan, north-east Africa, which he has visited twice in the past three months. He was last there just a week ago.
He was there in December working on a project with the United Nations and Google to help to stave off a new civil war, according to Daily Mail.
Luckily, after a 10-day battle with Malaria, lovely Mr Clooney has made a full recovery.
And now he's using his brush with the deadly disease to draw attention to the often fatal condition.
‘George is completely over the Malaria he contracted while in the Sudan during the first week in January,' a spokesman for the star revealed, Marie Claire reports.
