Case of Latvian schoolgirl who humiliated UK Prince Charles

The case of a Latvian schoolgirl who slapped Prince Charles of Great Britain across the face with carnations has been closed in Riga, Latvia. The incident took place last November when the Prince was on an official visit to Latvia.

On Tuesday the Central District Court of Riga decided to hand the 16-year-old schoolgirl Alina Lebedeva from Daugavpils to her mother's care.

Shortly after the incident, the girl confessed she had done this in protest against the war in Afghanistan and Latvia's accession to NATO.

Criminal proceedings were instigated against Alina, according to the article "Threatening Health and Life of a Foreign Citizen". However, on December 15 the Prosecutor's Office dropped the case of the "flower terrorist" after the Prince himself stood up for her, and sent the case to the Riga Court which was to choose the "punishment". According to Alina's lawyer, her hand-over to the mother means she must "live honestly in her own family".

Certainly readers already know that the Prosecutor's Office of Nanterre has ordered that Marine Le Pen, secretary of the Rassemblement National (former FN) and parliamentary to the Assembly, be submitted to psychiatric examination.
