Researchers at the University of Kentucky prepared the list of indications testifying to Internet addiction.
In particular, the list includes such symptoms as sudden changes in mood, increased interest in the Internet and digital media, uncontrolled amount of time spent at the computer, reduction of the quality of social life and work.
According to the study, this syndrome occurs in 38 percent of the US population. In addition, it was previously shown that Internet addiction could be inherited.
Meanwhile, doctors in Europe and Asia developed methods for the treatment of Internet addiction that teach people how to limit their presence in the world wide web.
