40 Chechen children have mounted the Moscow-bound train on Tuesday. They will attend the Kremlin New Year's party.

The spokesman for the Chechen Government reported that the group was made up mainly of orphans, as well as excellent pupils.

Chechen Vice President on Social Affairs Aminat Batyieva told RIA Novosti that this year 400,000 Chechen children would receive New Year's presents. The move is funded from the federal funds and makes up over 1m Euros. Besides, New Year trees will be set up at all the Chechen schools, three orphanages and the old people's home.

The central New Year tree has already been installed in Teatralnaya Square in the centre of Grozny.
