7-kilo diamond crystal stolen in Moscow

A 7-kilo diamond crystal, a 2-kilo topaz and 28 cut diamonds have been stolen by unidentified criminals from Diotima company in Moscow, the local law enforcement bodies said on Tuesday to RIA NOVOSTI.

The unidentified criminals wrenched out the iron bars, broke into the premises, belonging to Diotima, forced the safe and stole the precious stones stored in it, worth, according to the preliminary information, about 16 million rubles (approximately $ 500 thousand).

The Moscow law enforcement bodies launched an investigation to find out how such a bold theft could have been carried out.
