Chairman of the Federation Council (the Upper House of Parliament) Sergei Mironov expects that the new composition of the House will lobby only the interests of the people, said the speaker live on the Petersburg radio station Baltika. According to him, out of the 146 senators, 58 have an experience in parliamentary work at the highest level, including in the State Duma (the Lower House of Parliament) and about 30 people were connected with the executive power - former governors, ministers and their deputies. Another thirty senators represent business, including very big companies, remarked Sergei Mironov. Nevertheless, the Chairman of the Federation Council is convinced that the lobbying of somebody's separate interests in the Upper House will be excluded. He also spoke in favour of introducing a general legislative planning when the plans of the government, the State Duma and the constituent members of the Russian Federation will be taken into consideration.
