Iraqi Embassy in Moscow Receives about 10,000 Applications from Russian Volunteers

On Saturday, Iraqi ambassador to Russia Abbas Khalaf told journalists that the Iraqi embassy in Moscow had received about 10,000 applications from Russians eager to go to Iraq to take part in the "Live Shield" operation.

The Ambassador stressed that Baghdad highly valued the consistent policy of the Russian leadership in respect of the Iraqi problem and the position of Russian society in general which expressed its solidarity with the Iraqi people.
