One of stewardesses who survived after Il-86 crash in Sheremetyevo airport is meeting investigators today

The first meeting of investigators with Arina Vinogradova, a stewardess who has survived after the Il-86 crash in the airport of Sheremetyevo, is scheduled for Tuesday.

According to the doctors, the patient's condition allows conducting investigation, said Russia's General Prosecution.

The investigation of circumstances of Pulkovo Airlines Il-86 aircrash is currently going in three directions, said the Prosecutor General of the Moscow region Eduard Denisov.

The first direction implies investigation of the crash site. The area of more than two hectares has been investigated for three days already, Denisov pointed.

The second direction implies identification of the victims. The bodies of all 14 members of the crew have been discovered. They are being identified and forensic examination is starting, the prosecutor said.

The third direction implies inquires of the officials and specialists at the Sheremetyevo-airport, responsible for the aircraft preparation for the flight. All flight and other documentation, related to the crash, has been passed over to the investigating commission, the prosecutor stated.

Today there are two working versions of the crash. They are a technical fault of the aircraft and a human factor, Denisov pointed.

Inquiries of the witnesses have been started.

Besides the investigating commission, a state committee is also investigating the cause of the crash.

The Il-86 aircraft fell down on Sunday at 15.20, Moscow time, from a height of 200 metres in the Moscow region, half a kilometre away from the Sheremetyevo airport's runway. Of the 16 crew members 14 have been killed in the crash, with 2 stewardesses being hospitalized with body injuries.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Moscow region has started criminal proceedings.
