"Amazingly we got a call from Billy on Sunday and he wants to buy the rights to the book. He has a vision of the Red Rom story as a grand musical, a real rags to riches story telling this amazing story of an amazing man," author Chris Hutchins said.
The final decision about the possibility of the new stage show is to be made next week.
