A 28-year-old woman was arrested in Italy for doing deliberate damage to 60 Alfa Romeo cars. She said the cars reminded her of her ex-lover. The woman said that the ex-lover drove the Alfa Romeo model that she so violently damaged. She is accused of causing damage to private property within two months. The Italian woman was armed with scissors to scratch car bodies and to stab tires.
Police managed to arrest the woman only when a look-out over all Alfa Romeo cars was started in the city of Rovereto, in northern Italy. At the interrogation the woman declared that this car model caused unpleasant recollections, that is why she decided to damage such cars to get even with the ex-lover.
Prosecutor Marco Gallina says that the woman is currently under the house arrest; she is charged with deliberate damaging cars and resistance to police during the arrest.
