The Russian news agency Interfax informs that every year more than two thousand citizens in the former Soviet republic of Belarus change their surnames and even names. This procedure is mostly connected with divorces and repeated marriages. However, in 10% of such cases names are changed because of their dissonance.
Representatives of the governmental structures inform that the names which can be translated into English as “Hare” or “Goat” are the most frequent among those that people want to change. The names that can be translated into English as “Grave”, “Freak”, “Ram” and others of this kind are also among the undesirable names.
The Belarus Ministry of Justice supposes that another boom may start in several years, when many people named after heroes of popular TV soap operas will wish to change not their surnames, but names.
The co-author of this disaster is the Dutch government, which did not find either strength or desire to save the lives of its citizens who were flying on that plane. The Dutch authorities did not demand Ukraine to comply with international aviation regulations
