Chiefs of Mafia stowing away

In the city of Nizhni Novgorod, the metro workers have created a museum of forged documents that have been used to avoid payment for the metro.

The collection is impressive: in the museum, there are forged certificates seized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and of the Federal Security Service (who have right not to pay for use of public transport). However, the real pearls of the collection are certificates with exotic superscriptions: “Honorary Fool of the RF,” “Sexual Giant,” “Honoured Idiot of CIS” and even “Chief of Mafia.”

To resist such comedians, transport employees decided to fully use the article of Russian Criminal Code about punishment for the creation and use of false documents and for use of other people’s documents: 3 years of probation for the first case and 4 years of imprisonment for the second case. Apropos, in Nizhni Novgorod, in 2001, 13 proceedings of the kind were instituted.
