This idea belongs to the dweller of the city of Omsk, Ivan Shikhanov, who studies local lore. He decided to gather monuments of all Soviet and Russian leaders in an Omsk public garden and to create there a museum in the open air.
According to Ivan, today, even protected by the state monuments of Lenin and other communist leaders are being slowly annihilated. Some of them were simply carried to sheds or backyards, where a tragic fate expects them. Ivan Shikhanov, who is professional historian, supposes all this to be the history of Russia which is the citizens’ national property and should be preserved for coming generations.
The choice of the city of Helsinki is not incidental as the capital of Finland had hosted US-Soviet negotiations on the limitation of nuclear stockpiles in 1969
