Sexual abstinence more harmful to women

Sexual abstinence is harmful both to male and female body, except for situations, in which abstinence is required for health reasons.

Sexual abstinence is more harmful to women. The lack of sexual contacts affects women both physically and emotionally.

If a woman does not have sex for a long time, her body starts suffering from stress constantly, which intensifies menstrual pains and thins out vaginal walls.

Such developments in the woman's body may cause sexual desire to disappear, and it can be very hard to restore the previous sexual rhythm, US physician and sex therapist Sari Cooper says.

In addition, according to medical observations, those women who do not practice regular sex become distracted, inattentive and are more susceptible to depression.
