Brazil football team responsible for mass prison escape

In Indonesia, there was a massive break-out of a prison on the island of Sumatra during the Brazil-Belgium game. 48 prisoners managed to escape, proving that the World Cup really does “move worlds”.

The incident happened in the prison of Pekanbaru, Sumatra, on Monday, during the football match between Brazil and Belgium, which Brazil managed to win 2-0. Six prison guards were concentrating on the match around a television set when they were overpowered by a group of 48 prisoners, 16 of whom have since been captured.

The prison manager said that “The guards should not have been watching the game, but it is understandable”.

Roll on the next world cup for prisoners of the world...to unite!
