Hungarian frontier officers stopped an Austrian car right at the check point. They were extremely surprised when they saw an Austrian woman in the car’s truck. The detained confessed that she was on her way to the hairdresser’s but had left the passport at home.
Unfortunately, the woman didn’t visit the hairdresser that time because the frontier guards imposed a considerable fine upon her and prohibited entry in the country for an unusual way of travelling, Hungary’s MTI news agency informs.
It is strange but majority of Austrians go to Hungary to visit dentists or hairdressers because the services are much cheaper there. However, experts say that prices may go up as soon as Hungary joins the European Union.
The choice of the city of Helsinki is not incidental as the capital of Finland had hosted US-Soviet negotiations on the limitation of nuclear stockpiles in 1969
