Tutors of the University of Bangkok say that female students of the higher education institution look too frivolous which distracts male students from studies. With a view to make girls wear longer and less tight skirts the University Direction organizes a special lottery. During the lottery, the direction will raffle gold and diamond jewelry.
The vice-president of the University says that properly dressed female students will be selected every month; at the end of the year these girls will be able to take part in the lottery. The University Direction intends to raffle off three sets of gold and diamond necklaces and ear-rings. Each set is of the value of about $160.
According to the Thailand higher education institutions regulations, students must wear white blouses and black skirts or trousers. But majority of young female students try to make the uniform nicer: they make their skirts shorter or make slashes deeper. The vice-president of the University of Bangkok is sure that such clothes are inadmissible at the University as their distract male students absolutely.
Nevertheless, opinion polls conducted among female students of the University reveals that the girls won' change the clothes style despite of all efforts of the tutors and the promises of diamond lotteries.
