Lionesses prefer brunettes

The king of all animals has to spend a lot of his energy to look good. Scientists think that lionesses prefer “men” with gorgeous dark manes. It is curious that lion’s mane can be fair and dark, lions cane look like brunettes sometimes. It was proved that lionesses have a crush on those males who have dark manes.

Biologists from Minnesota University made several stuffed lions with various manes: long and short, they also differed in their color. It turned out that male lions were really frightened with the presence of those stuffed creatures with long and dark manes. Female lions were showing great tokens of attention to the stuffed lions with dark manes, ignoring “blond” dolls.
