Yevgeny Kafelnikov Will Play in the Semi-Finals of the Tennis Tournament in Milan Against Jarko Nieminen From Finland

Russian Yevgeny Kafelnikov will play in the semi-finals of the tennis tournament in Italy the prize fund of which amounts to USD 380,000 against Jarko Nieminen from Finland.

It became known after Jarko Nieminen won 7:6 (9:7), 7:5 in the quarterfinals over Richard Krajicek from Holland who got into the main tournament through qualifying games, and Yevgeny Kafelnikov easily defeated 6:3, 6:4 Jonas Bjorman from Sweden. It is worth noting that the victory became the 10th straight victory of the Russian over the Swede.

Thus Yevgeny Kafelnikov will play against the Finnish player for the second time in the last two weeks. They played their first match in the second round of the Australian Open and then in the most difficult 5-set match Nieminen won 6:3, 6:3, 3,6, 6:1.

The second semi-final game will be played by Martin Verkerk from Holland and Ivan Ljubocic from Croatia.
