28th Russian Championship of National Sports Events in Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous Region (Urals)

28th Annual Russian Championship of National Sports Events - Northern Multiathlon - started on Tuesday in Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous region (Urals).

15 teams from Chukotsky, Evenkiisky, Yamal-Nenets, Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous regions and Yakutia (Urals, Siberia and Russia's Far East) will participate in the Championship, the press-service of the Region's Governor disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent.

The participants will compete in such events as running 3km with a stick, distance axe throwing, national triple jump, jumping over pulk (Northern national sledge, driven by dogs or deer).

The program of the Championship also includes an exhibition-fair of decorative arts ware "Siberian Exclusive" and an exhibition-fair of national food.
