International Ballet Festival to Open in St. Petersburg's Mariinsky Theatre, March 9

From March 9 through 18, the International Ballet Festival will be for the second time held at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. For the first time it happened last year. Participants included dancers from the American Ballet Theatre, the Royal Ballet of Great Britain, and Moscow Bolshoi. This time audiences will see the performance of Vladimir Malakhov of the American Ballet Theatre and ballet stars from France, who have never before danced in Russia. Mariinsky's own ballet troupe will also participate.
