About two hundred enterprises of the military-industrial complex will take part in an International Exhibition of armaments and military equipment in Nizhny Tagil (the Urals) which will be held from July 9th to 13th.
As the organising committee of the exhibition reported, the visitors will have a chance to see 1,450 displays and eighteen range practices. About 180 representatives from thirty countries will take part in the exhibition.
The Nizhny Tagil exhibition facilities make it possible to show the merits of the displays and their abilities in full. The exhibitions, that were held in the Centre of the Nizhny Tagil Institute of Metal Testing (a federal state unitarian enterprise) which is under the authority of the Russian Ammunition Agency, have shown that this Centre is really unique.
Specialists say that the Centre's proving-ground is the only one in the world where there unique possibilities to demonstrate the characteristics of all the armaments, including the test-run track of 51,200 square metres for armoured vehicles, areas for exhibition range practices, runways, areas for maintaining self-propelled military equipment and other facilities. According to the plans of the organisers, news conferences which will be given by the exhibition participants and distinguished guests will take place live on the Internet at the official city information server.
The choice of the city of Helsinki is not incidental as the capital of Finland had hosted US-Soviet negotiations on the limitation of nuclear stockpiles in 1969
