An exhibition called Gold Deer of Eurasia, prepared by the State Hermitage together with the Center of Ethnological Research of the Ufa scientific center under the Russian Academy of Sciences, and supported by the Metropolitan Museum (New York) and the Elemond publishing house, opened on Sunday in Ufa.
Bashkir President Murtaza Rakhimov and State Hermitage director Mikhail Piotrovsky took part in the ceremony of the exhibition's opening.
Over 200 objects are represented at the exposition. Over 10,000 works whose restoration was recently finished are being shown for the first time.
Unique archaeological finds are very beautiful and expressive works of art, the majority of which are made of gold. The exhibition had been a success in St Petersburg, New York and Milan.
The choice of the city of Helsinki is not incidental as the capital of Finland had hosted US-Soviet negotiations on the limitation of nuclear stockpiles in 1969
