Russian representative team may fail to take part in European Championship qualifying match in Tbilisi

The Russian Football Union (RFS) will make a decision, concerning the European Championship's qualifying match between Russia and Georgia, which is to take place in Tbilisi on October 12th, only after receiving corresponding recommendations from the Russian Federation Foreign Ministry, Alexander Tukmanov, the Chief Executive Officer of the RFS, said in his interview with a RIA Novosti correspondent on Friday.

According to him, in connection with the latest events in the Russian-Georgian relations the RFS made corresponding inquiries with the Georgian Football Federation.

Neither the answer received, nor explanations of the Georgian ambassador to Russia clarified the situation, concerning arrangements to provide security for the Russian football delegation in Georgia.
