Russian Kafelnikov Reaches Second Round of Australian Open

The pair Russian Yevgeny Kafelnikov and Czech Radek Stepanek have reached the second round of the Austalian Open.

On Thursday, Kafelnikov and Stepanek won an easy victory over Italian Cristian Brandi and Croatian Ivan Ljubicic in a match that lasted 1 hour and 4 minutes: 6-1, 7-6 /7-1/.

Kafelnikov and Stepanek will play versus James Blake, US, and Mark Merklein, Bahamas, in the second round of the Australian Open.
