The 3rd festival of French cinema in Moscow will open on Thursday evening with the demonstration of the film "Blanche" at the Pushkinsky cinema.
The festival will give Russians an opportunity to see new works by French moviemakers, some of which, such as "Blanche" directed by Jean-Pierre Limosin, have not been shown in France yet. Russia will see the world debut of the film. The festival will last till November 24th and demonstrate a total of 7 films.
Besides "Blanche", the films include "Monique" by Valerie Guignabodet, "La Vie Promise" ("Promised Life") by Olivier Dahan, "Peau d'ange" ("Angel's skin") by Vincent Perez and others.
The audience will have an opportunity to meet the films' directors and actors. The festival's organizers, first of all the French embassy to Russia, propose to hold such festivals annually and not only in Moscow, but also in other Russian cities.
